When a dog comes through a rescue program, the adoptive family is often given limited information about the dog's background. In Czar's case, he and his littermate had already been through two owners before they ended up in the SHCV Rescue program, and by that time, all details of his breeder and his birth were lost. His age had to be estimated, based on markers like his teeth. His birthday was picked because rescue dogs are often given 1st January, for their paperwork at least. Bolo was already living with J, and was already registered as 1st January. So Czar got 1st February. This year he is officially a veteran. But more importantly he is a happy, healthy, snuggle bunny. Love you buddy!
