Pretty new leashes!

Ok, orange isn't really Ishka's colour, or mine for that matter, but I am really excited by these new leashes that arrived in the post this week. J and I saw the Friendly Dog Collar leashes at the recent Pet and Animal Expo and I was really really impressed!
They were also written up in today's Herald-Sun with a great explanation of the different leashes available and how they help. Several people I spoke to today said they thought it would be great to use a red "caution" leash to avoid having small children and random dogs assume that all dogs are friendly, and the yellow "adopt me" leashes are a great idea for rescue groups.
Now the leashes have arrived, I am even more impressed! One of the most challenging things for me in dealing with huskies is pain and damage to my hands. I have soft hands, not being a massive gardener or a tradie, and holding leashes with 20-odd kilos of straining husky on the end has been a painful experience. J has a wide collection of leashes and all of them have left me with little rope burn injuries or been very difficult to use. These leashes have padded, non-slip hand grips!! So cool!!
I couldn't resist using one to take Ishka to her weekly vet appointment tonight. Although she can be tolerant of some other dogs, I loved not having to panic about people letting their puppies or toy dogs annoy her, so I used the "no dogs" leash.
Tomorrow, I'll break out the "friendly" leash for Czar or Frankie. I can't decide who, yet. I'm actually wishing I'd bought two of each!
